6/16/14:I know no one is going to read this, but I like writing these so I can look back at it later on. :)
this post is waaaaaay overdue, but I just didn’t have the time until now… I’m getting all exciting just thinking about it HEHE
Omg. THE best concert I’ve ever been to. ❤️
So I finished tutoring at 2:00, went home so that we (my family) can leave the house for the LA Memorial Coliseum by 2:30. To my surprise, we actually left our house before 2:30 :O BUT! I thought we were gonna go straight to the coliseum, but we actually stopped by In-N-Out… I was slightly disappointed because I wanted a lot of time to check out the booths and wanted to get some merch if I could… But I was ok with going to In-N-Out because I was hungry, and I didn’t want to be hungry later on. After eating, we left for the LA Memorial Coliseum! :D
When we got off the freeway in LA, omg… So.Much.Traffic. The coliseum needs a better traffic system. There was so much cutting and like ugh.
And I was super frustrated because even when we reached the entrance of the parking lot, my dad didn’t let jane and me leave the car to check out the booths :( So I was kinda annoyed… But things got better… :)
Cuz.. I mean eventually we parked after paying $25 (which was TOTALLY worth it! ^^ But after the concert, I found out there was $40 parking too O.O). I thought parking was going to be super annoying but we found a spot right away, which was AWESOME. :D
So we got out of the car, and headed towards the coliseum. We didn’t know where to go, so we just stood where everyone else was. While we were just looking around, my parents greeted this 아줌마, who turned out to be my dad’s friend’s (Kyle) wife, who was with her daughter. It was so crazy because out of all the people in that crowded area, we saw her! haha. Well, since we weren’t doing anything, we decided to walk around and see where the booths were and how we would get to our seats. So we started to go around the coliseum (sort of… since we were actually inside yet). On our way, my parents saw someone else they knew: Kyle! HAHA It was so crazy! We saw Kyle and his wife two separate times in that super crowded place…!
So by now, we were in front of the line at Gate 7, waiting to enter the coliseum. We were able to cut to the front of the line because Jane was on crutches. So we actually went to the staff members to ask if we can enter the coliseum ahead of the crowd so that she doesn’t get trampled over, but they just had us waiting at the front of the line. So we were just like… uh… did they understand what we said…??? So we just stood around waiting for them to come back because they were walking back and forth everywhere. And while we were waiting, this girl comes up to us, greeting us, and I’m just like, “???” I thought it was Jane’s friend or something, so I waved nicely. And she either said “I’m Eunice’s cousin..” or “You’re Eunice’s cousin, right?” or something, and I was like, “OHHHH HIIII!” HAHA we met ANOTHER person!! so crazy. So I took a selfie with Lydia and sent it to Eunice. HEHE.
So when the head staff person returned, we clarified what we meant and entered the coliseum like 10 minutes earlier than everyone else. >:)
Our seats were in Section 7, Row 60, Seats 14-17. Since we entered the coliseum on the middle level, jane had to hop a bunch of rows until 60 on one foot. ._____. After we sat down, I was kinda disappointed… We could barely see the people on stage… like the looked like ants.. :/
Our seat: Section 7, Row 60; the stage was in that gray space in front of the peristyle. So we were like more than half a football field away… :/
But, I was still excited to see CN Blue rehearse! that was pretty exciting! :) and THEN… Dynamic Duo joined CN Blue for rehearsal! ASLDFJALSDFJ I was super happy to see gaeko. ♥♥♥
Here’s what Dynamic Duo and CN Blue looked like from our seat:
And then after them, it was Infinite. and lmao. Jane, on my left, was screaming like CRAZY and it was just the rehearsal… I had no idea her screams were so ear-piercing. All I remember was just laughing at her like crazy while plugging my left ear. She was even slapping me screaming, “oh ma gaaaaad!!!! woooooo~~~” lmao. It was hilarious.
And then…..my dad got a phone call. It was from Kyle, who was inviting us to the field seats, for he had three extra tickets. So Jane and I were like “whut…?! o_____o” I was excited, but I wanted to know where he exactly was. Cuz if he was like in the last row of the field, I would rather stay at our current seats. My dad told Kyle to wave so we can find him, and omg… We saw a dude waving almost right in front of the stage….!!!!! Right away, Jane, my dad, and I got up and made our way down towards the field, while not that many people were in the coliseum yet. When we reached Kyle, the security guards were all, “You guys can’t come down this way because it’s not the entrance.” But since Jane was on crutches, she was let onto the field. Kyle gave my dad 3 tickets (one of which was used to let Jane in already, but heck… the security members didn’t say anything :P). So my dad and I went back up to my mom to take her with us to the field. We were told to go around the coliseum and enter from Gate 11, which actually changed to 25… -o- It was sorta tiring, but totally worth it. I was kind of scared that not all of us would be allowed in because on the tickets were already scanned, but the security guards at the gate didn’t scan them! WHOOT. He gave each of us our wristbands and we entered the FIELD EEEEP. and O M G. the view. ♥.♥ We were in row 10 from the center of the stage. omg. ;alfjl;dfjl;fjal;jfsladjf;lf
So looking at that picture of Dynamic Duo and CN Blue, we moved up to where that lady in the blue jacket was, but in Section E (that lady is in C, so two sections to the left of where the lady was).
Our new view:
Let me explain how close we were:
- if the artists came up to the front part of the stage where DD are at in the picture from our original seats, you can totally see their faces and their outfits and everything
- Many times, I was better off looking at the stage rather than watching the screens
- When I zoomed my camera, I had problems fitting the stage and singers on my phone screen. lmao.
Well, while we were waiting, we realized we never went to the booths for merch and stuff… :( We ddin’t even get a pamphlet. D: So we asked these two girls in front of us for a pamphlet, and luckily, she had an extra! So we got one:
Another thing while we were waiting, we saw 박찬호, and I thought that was pretty cool since it’s baseball seasonnn haha.
my creeper shot of him (the dude in the white) l o l
So the concert didn’t start until 7:30, and we were told it was going to start at 6:30… It was pretty cold… So after those speeches about Koreans Immigrating to the states and everything, the concert finally started~~~
박정현 sang The Stars Spangled Banner pretty well :) Jun K looked freaking scary but confident at the same time with his super thick eyeliner. He sang the Korean National Anthem.
What sucked was that I didn’t know that the zoom on my video worked until Sistar T.T I know it sounds stupid, but before the update, iPhone video cameras did not zoom! So yea… I could have zoomed on Dynamic Duo but oh welllll
It was so cool how people saw Jane on screen. After she came out, she got multiple texts from her friends telling her that they saw her LOL It’s so funny because we had no idea since we were too focused on the stage (since we were so CLOSE HEHE)
And many of the live singers were AMAZING. Like 깁태우 at that climax part of 사랑비♥♥♥, the If I Ain’t Got You performance by 우영, Jun K, 효린, and some other girl had good harmonizing, 정용화 was better than I thought ( I even came to like Can’t Stop after the concert haha), 백지영♥, 효린 was good, Infinite, 2PM, and Shinee were good too :D
I’m too lazy to write more… So I’m just going to make a compilation of all of my recordings :)
Concert video is being edited and will be linked later on.
Until then, there is the official video of part 1 of the concert:
